When choosing the location for your photoshoot, consider the places you already know and love - your local record store, book store, ice cream shop, skating rink, antique store, putt-putt golf arcade. Always make sure to ask permission before taking photos at a business and it also doesn't hurt to ask when their slowest hours typically are so as to not disturb the people who are also there to enjoy the space. It's important to be respectful of everyone else around, but I've found that most people get excited to see others taking photos somewhere they casually visit!
