There's nothing some colorful outfits and 80's music can't solve!
An afternoon in the studio trying out all different combinations of colorful outfits and makeup isn’t a bad way to spend the day. Julia is one of the most creative people I know so we had to go with some colorful concepts for these photos! I wanted the photos to have an "in the studio" feel to them so I left the exterior of the ceiling and room behind the wall in the photos as part of the look. First, we did a denim-on-denim look with a blue eyeshadow and some soft overhead blue lighting to tie it all together. The second look was a red dress with red ambient light which elevated the look to a whole new level. We experimented with spotlight lighting and a cube prop to sit on and pose with. Finally, we did a “noir et blanc” look with a contrasting black and white look that included some of my favorite photos from the day. We got to try out funky poses with her kicking her legs in the air and we used my wide-angle lens to get some distorted photos too. I love that we fully embraced the monochromatic vibes for these photos!
